What are your fave New York shopping haunts?

Hi Nedahl, I am going to New York in May for six nights before I head off to the Cayman Islands to visit a girlfriend (can't wait!) I am taking my man with me so need to be conscious about aimless shopping trips. I am hoping that you or some of the Coco Lee readers will have some suggestions for me on the best places for shopping that will allow me to get the best out of my time there.

Hi guys, I put this out on Twitter for you and here's what I got back: 1. Bleecker St. This looks to be a fave. 2. Meatpacking district. 3. SoHo 4. Mainstream chain on the lower end of 5th (14th-23rd) 5. Lower East Side. Have fun folks! I'll be in LA this year so will get my shopping fix then. xx

Definitely hit Soho for some great shops! My boyfriend and I were over there at Christmas and he loved the shopping almost as much as me! Top Shop, Urban Outfitters, Uniqlo, Barneys, J Crew and Victoria's Secret are all great. If you love vintage, go to the Chelsea flea markets and for great food and wine, Chelseas markets. There are also great boutiques all over the place so do some research into certain areas before you go. Chelsea, the East Village, Soho and Brooklyn were all fantastic!
