Leighton Meester looks amazing whilst colour blocking - white on top with a black waistband and red pencil skirt is clearly a flattering colour combination.

But with those nude shoes, is the look too old for her? I'd prefer to see her in something young and fun rather than this which could pass for Salma Hayek. Sure, it looks good, but she's giving off quite a corporate vibe. A cool shoe might have twisted the look around into something that feels more Leighton.

Jessica Alba meanwhile, adds a fair amout of spunk to her outfit. There are those incredible shoes for one (LOVE), and the leather jacket over a simple skirt and top combo really makes the outfit sing. Imagine she'd worn this with Leighton's nude shoe and no jacket? It would be suddenly boring, and it just goes to show that what you add on after you've chosen your actual outfit makes a huge impact.
