There's no denying we've come a long way. Well at least further than the days of the Hollywood Blacklist in the fifties (all silver screen industry professionals were only deemed fit to work when and if their political beliefs and 'associations' were 'approved' by the academy.)

But considering gay marriage is not yet legal here in Australia, we haven't quite come as far as I would personally have liked or expected. 

But when you look at this picture and see an amazingly-clad Ellen and Portia who (seemingly) appear to have nailed their own modern-day fairy-tale, you've got to have hope for our lands of golden soil.
