Poppy Delevigne and her sister Cara have fast become two of my favourite and most trustworthy style beacons.
Here's Poppy at the Chanel show, giving further depth to denim as she trots it out at one of the most 'fashion' events in the world.
Once poopooed at 'serious' shindigs, denim - in all it's forms - has found itself on the up in the dress code pecking order.
(Knew I was onto something when I wore my Betina Liano denim 'suit' to my Year Twelve Graduation because I was far too mature for a gown. My silly overdressed friends!)
As the old sayin'... (doesn't go at all): If Karl's okay with it then go fourth and whack-on some stonewash to your next black tie.
Whether it's the trusty denim jacket, boyfriend's chambray shirt, a come hither minidress or as Poppy here does: a high-wasted skirt, denim is as socially-acceptable as a 2.55.
So add it to your spring racing wardrobe (shawk!)
Wear it to a wedding (zomg!)
Or even better wear it AT your wedding (die!)
Or call the whole thing off.
