Points, Miss Cavallari, points

When I think of Kristin Cavallari, I usually imagine her with her run-of-the-mill blonde lengths doing something extremely run-of-the-mill.

She typically does not add a braid here or some ombre there. Nor does she embrace volume or texture when taking her hair out for a spin.

I never search her on Getty for that very reason. She does nothing out of the ordinary and is resolutely Run-Of-The-Mill.

Until now.

The appearance of her mop at the Rolling Stone awards conjured up everything I want for my hair this summer: wavy, crunchy, tousled, unruly.

Here's how I'mma (take note of 'bad' use of English language CCLs!) get it this Summer:

1. Wash hair at night with a volume shampoo and conditioner (go SUPER easy on the conditioner beacuse you don't want your hair to loose any grip or develop too much shine as this will mean your waves will drop later on).

2. Don't comb your hair lengths at all. And do not use a detangler. Instead, spray on a thermal protectant and blow-dry with your head upside down, or tilted to the side if you're lazy, whatever.

3. Then create three Princess Leia like buns, using elastics to secure them (I do one bun near my crown and then two behind each ear so I get good 'wave' coverage later on.) Spritz them with some sea salt spray first, wait a few seconds and then follow up with some hair spray. Go to bed. Sleep. Have nice dreams.

4. Wake-up, stretch and take out your hair elastics. Flip it upside down, add some more hairspray, flip it back up, part it to one side and then continue to scrunch throughout the day.

5. Tell me about how it went - yes, even you CJ (!!!) =)

I love Zoe's posts! As a lawyer who spends all day reading dry, grammatically perfect documents, I find Zoe's writing style refreshingly light and fun! I didn't realise people posted such catty and pedantic posts on here - there are plenty of other blogs you can read, or better yet, start your own! P.S. Back to the actual point of Zoe's post, I agree I think this hairdo is fab and will be giving it a go this weekend. Thanks for the how-to Zoe and please don't change anything about your posts!

Oh CCLs, it's all fun and games! I don't mean to irritate or offend any of you. And CJ, I was being tongue-in-cheek! You might have noticed but I'm usually this way, which can often get me into trouble. CASE.IN.POINT! There are several contributors on this site for a reason: we're all different and you are free to choose who to read! Kindest, Zoe

I knew I couldn't be the only one. Meg and Sarah - you are brave ladies for speaking up! You should probably expect a passive aggressive smiley face and some snarky attitude directed at you both in the next CCL post, though. Oh well, life rolls on...

It is quite difficult to read. Sorry, but 'bad' (or arguably unique?) use of the English language is one thing, butchering it is another. Irritating and unnecessary.

Ah how I wish those steps were that easy. If I turned my head upside down and blow-dried I would look like Diana Ross! The curls power on...

Hi Zoe! Gotta say - still do not love the weird words you use! To be honest, it's annoying. Although, as I very clearly stated in my previous comment on the other post, I really think this is a matter of personal preference for me and I was wondering if anybody else agreed. Your response here actually seems pretty immature. I can't ever recall Nedhal calling out one of her readers in a post...?
