You've got your baby in the front so it pulls at the back and makes your love handles stick out way more than they need to, so dressing around it is an art form.

Maggie Gyllenhaal does it here with ease. And the key is in the fluid fabrics.

She clashes prints lightly - nothing too bold, just a softly printed shirt which comes to the hip (NOT tucked in you'll note) over a pastel print skirt. Nothing a-line, nothing pencil, just a lovely fluid fit. Sticking a hat on might seem last minute but it really takes the outfit up a notch and pulls the whole look together.

Then there's the Birkenstocks. Like wow, is all I can say. You might remember me talking about Miranda's chunky flats, then Gwyneth's covered flats, and now here's Maggie wearing Birkenstocks. I smell a trend people! I smell a trend.
