When I read on the Daily Mail yesterday that Kristen Stewart had cheated on Rob Pattinson with her married, 41-year-old, Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, I thought, geez Daily Mail, again with the made up stories?

But it's true! She admitted it in a statement, apologising to Rob yesterday: 

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," the statement said.

Seriously? Yowza. I wonder if this came out before or after the Teen Choice Awards (where they're pictured, above, on Sunday) and how Rob Pattinson, heartthrob to millions, is feeling. And I wonder when the tweens will start to turn on Kristen.

Meanwhile, Rupert Sanders has also issued an apologetic statement, as reported in People magazine - he's married to model Liberty Ross and they have two children together.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

This is so not cool.

UPDATE: So there are photos of Kristen and Rupert making out on July 17, and they'll be out in the next issue of US Magazine. Whoa. I thought it was while they were making the movie ... apparently not!
