How to: Emma Stone's perfect eye on Interview Magazine
Monday, August 27, 2012 AT 9:29 AM

Holy Moly Batman. I mean Spiderman. Who IS this lovely creature gracing the cover of Interview magazine?

Why, it's Emma Stone.

It Girl of the moment. And haven't they done a fantastic job shooting her? The makeup is incredibe, this is exactly my idea of the perfect smoky eye. Very cat's-eye and hard to pull off, but Emma does it perfectly.

How to? Using an eyeshadow brush (not the little applicator you get in the pack), pat a dark colour eyeshadow (it can be anything - charcoal, black, navy) on along the upper lashline and extend out past your eye, fading it out towards the end of your eyebrow. Continue to pat the dark colour mostly on that lashline and out. It will naturally fade up and out. Blend with a blending brush so you get a soft finish on your eyelids and outer browbone. Then use a black eyeliner (must be black) to draw a definitive line above your lashes, and very close to the lashline below your lashes (I actually go inside my eye rim but only do that if you have big eyes). Finish with plenty of mascara. Plenty. Oh, and don't forget your brows. DO NOT use a dark colour on your brows, even if they're black, go at least one shade lighter if not two, than your natural brow colour (you can end up looking like Count Dracula otherwise) and brush lightly over brows, extending the line out as far as look natural.

There. Lovely.
