What to wear to while working out ... it's a bit of a grey area really. It needs to be functional, but not so functional as to be ugly. Comfortable but still cute. And it needs to be decent enough to be worn through shopping centres, across roads, or through parks - because no matter how hard you try to hide, you WILL be seen in it. Usually by an ex-boyfriend or glamorous frenemy, just to make you feel even worse.
Take tips from these mega stars and their workout gear.
Note the similarities: they are all wearing a loose piece with a tight piece, so whether it's a t-shirt and tights or a tight singlet and baggier shorts, the balance of tight with loose appears key - especially when going to and from the gym. Whilst in the middle of your workout of course, wear all-tight or all-loose as much as you like. It's the afters I'm talking about.
They are also sticking to all-black or black and white. Why? Simple. We all sweat. And there is nothing worse than seeing a big sweat patch on the crotch of someone's red/blue/green or even light grey tights. Embarrassing. So while you want to be bright and colourful, I would suggest that unless you're doing pilates or something else you probably won't sweat in, to steer clear of colours.
And I'm a BIG white sneaker girl. I think that black sneakers are generally unflattering on most women (Sofia Vergara being the exception of course, I think it's the no socks), but a lot of celebs think otherwise. What's your call?
