I know I go on and on about Gwen Stefani's style but just look at her. So effortlessly cool - and comfortable. I have a thing about jackets. I hate them being stiff, like a stiff denim jacket or a too sharp blazer. They're so restricting. This checkered coat has everything going for it that other trench coats don't: it's soft. So it drapes over her body lovingly, while still acting like a trench coat in every other way. She wear it with opaques and slips her feet into Doc Martins. Now, I can't get into Docs, they're just not me. But if they're you, now is the time to wear them.

Gwen does her usual trick of adding red lipstick with a pair of sunnies so that even if her eyes aren't made up, we can't tell. Maybe I'll start doing this at the park.
