As Issa proved back in '09 (at their Fall/Winter show) a one-sided faux-undercut can be suprisingly flattering.
You may also recall queen of the real undercut, Alice Dellal walking that show that year, having inspired the Issa hair movement towards one-sided androgony.
Three years on and we're seeing it again.
Whether it is on the Man Repeller or Rachel Bilson right here, the extra dimension of sexy is always welcomed.
I think it has something to do with the one-earred peek-a-boo effect, like a strip tease for the lobes.
The key to this strangely alluring look? One side of your hair being as closely combed over as possible. You want it to be so recognisably tight that the other side, no matter what it's doing, screams shape.
Earrings or not, I love it. And just like I did back in '09, I consider doing the real thing, until I get over the idea almost as quickly.
Faking it seems to be a much easier option.
Will you faux-undercut?
