How short is too short? Kate Moss gets away with this because she's got the smallest ass known to mankind, and if you're not blessed with one of those, I'd say these shorts are too short (so that leaves me out!). I do love her dishevelled style. She throws things on so it looks like she's done it haphazardly, but I'm pretty sure there's been a whole lot of thought in there. The messy hair, the unlaced boots, the unbuttoned shirt ... it all points to "I just pulled this on and couldn't be bothered doing anything up". I know it shouldn't be, but on her it's all just so fabulous.

YOU'VE GOT: The knee high boots, and a pair of leggings or skinny jeans if you're not going to dare risk the shorts.

YOU NEED: A khaki shirt. Were you listening when I posted about khaki? Shoulda been! Plus an ounce of extra cool. Muss up your hair (what brush?), roll up your sleeves, make everything look a little "undone".
