Mary Kate rocks a blankie like nobody else ...

There's been a lot of discussion about blankets lately. Or to be more exact: people wearing blankets as clothes. Twenty8TWelve, Vivienne Westwood, Paul & Joe all whipped them out for the latest shows and I, for one, am a massive fan. As long as they are stylish and drape wonderfully over your other layers, a blankie is quite possibly the most comfortable and warm piece you'll own all winter.

Mary Kate, natural bohemiam that she is, accessorises hers with lots of loose scarves which ups the style factor (different colours only) and two of the biggest bags I've seen. Choose your blankie wisely. Make sure it has sleeves, for one - and not Snuggie sleeves - but armholes to swing through, and wear it in a classic colour - black, grey or camel. Anything else will make you look like you did actually pick up your blankie from your nanna and that's not what we're going for here.

Good grief, she's so tiny she's dwarfed by the broom behind her!
