The other night I was watching American's Next Top Model - Petites - which if you know anything about the modelling world is kind of an oxymoron. Kate Moss is a short model and she's 5"6 and a half. Short for a model, for sure, but she's the only one. And I don't know if you've followed her career or anything but she's kind of the biggest model in the world, therefore, the exception rather than the rule. But that's my rant against America's Next Top Model which I really think is on it's last legs, even though Tyra is trying her damndest to make it interesting (did anyone see the "Smize" bit? Tyra needs to be in a movie or something. She'd actually make a good Wonder Woman).

I'll stop going on about ANTM now. Swear. Except to say that the bit I most got excited about, which really quite surprised me, was at the end when Lauren Conrad was a guest judge. What does this say about me? Bad things, surely! To be most excited to see Lauren Conrad speak? I've reached a new low.

But then I saw this picture. And I knew that I was validated in thinking that she IS a real star and WILL be a real star - as soon as she stops ghost writing those ridiculous books (nobody believes you're an author Lauren!).

This look is pure sophstication in an outfit. The bright yellow swing coat with ruffled neckline worn with big sunglasses, red lipstick and a side part updo. Love love love. It's also showing us that if you have a fabulous coat and great pair of heels, what you wear underneath doesn't matter in the slightest. Not one teensy bit.

So if you're strapped for cash this winter, these are the two items you buy. And even if you wear them every day of the week it doesn't matter. You will look incredible every day of the week. Better than buying 50 different things from the $2 shop and looking crappy every day! Are we clear? Lovely.
